Four tips to be a good listener -
1. Be in the moment - it's hard to focus when your mind is elsewhere

2.Give verbal signs that you're listening - eg 'hmmm' , 'uh-huh' , 'tell me more'

3.Give physical signs that you're listening - tilt your head / nod occasionally, keep your body open , smile , raise your eyebrows!

For those who don't yet know, our BNI is one of only a few regions that have an affiliate scheme running with the local Chamber of Commerce. Business Seminar and Networking Event
July 15th 2009.

Nottingham Rugby has teamed up with motivational speaker Rob Brown to host a Business Seminar and Networking Event on July 15th. This is the first of a number of events which will be linked in with the 1877 Business Club throughout the 2009/10 season.

Guests will be welcomed with coffee and cakes from 5.30pm and will be given the chance to network before opening words from Nottingham Rugby.

Rob Brown is a renowned motivational speaker and a leading expert in building reputations and will speak for around an hour as part of this Nottingham Rugby fundraising event.

The event will be held in the County Suite at the Notts County Ground, Meadow Lane between 5.30pm and 8pm. Tickets are priced at £10, which includes light refreshments and is redeemable against any Nottingham Rugby Corporate Package during the 2009/10 season.

Show Tracey and her Husband's club some support with their Open Day, which is open to the public - but let's join in on the action! Bring the family, bring friends, but don't bring the pets (no dogs allowed I'm afraid). It really is a hidden oasis so even if you just want to spectate - get yourselves down there!
